Gibbs will analyze the 2011 NATO intervention in the overthrow of Muammar Gaddafi. He will argue that the doctrines of humanitarian intervention and responsibility to protect served largely as a pretext for intervention, rather than a genuine motive; and that the intervention stemmed from the geo-strategic interests of the Western powers.
