Dr. Anne Betteridge, CMES Director
In the academic workplace, reference requests are common. This session aims to discuss the entire process from asking for a letter of reference including what documents and information to give the recommender, to knowing what is appropriate to include in a reference letter (especially for Teaching Assistants and newer instructors,) and finally, providing a follow up to the reference to thank them for their work on your behalf and give them a status update. Dr. Anne Betteridge will lead this timely session and we look forward to a robust discussion afterwards.
After the talk, feel free to stay for our colloquium talk: Nineteenth-Century Persian Travelouges and the Rise of a New Historical Consciousness in Qajar Iran
