CMES gives a Best Project in Middle Eastern History Award to a middle school or high school student each year at the National History Day in Arizona competition. In 2019, the $200 award went to Tara Hojati, a middle schooler at New Vistas Center in Chandler, for her exhibit, “Cyrus the Great.”
