National History Day: Latin American and Middle Eastern Topics and Resources
Saturday, August 29th from 10am to 3pm (including a working lunch).
This workshop featured three speakers: one on Using National History Day the Classroom, one on Latin American Resources at the University of Arizona, and one on Middle Eastern Resources at the University of Arizona. There was a working lunch in which teachers worked in groups discussing classroom applications of the material. In addition, students who had competed in National History Day had their work exhibited and one student presented. Teachers received 5 professional development credits, lunch, and a packet of resources for use in their classrooms.
