Outreach Coordinator Lisa Adeli is a certified secondary teacher with 12 years of full time experience teaching high school World History and English and 4 additional years volunteer-teaching a high school MIddle Eastern Studies class. She also worked for more than 5 years as an adjunt instructor at a community college. She has a PhD in History and an MA in Teaching English As a Second Language.
She - and all the Center staff - welcome the opportunity to join in creative partnerships with schools, educators, and community members to further education about the Middle East.
What We Do: CMES Outreach coordinates and supports programming related to the Middle East and North Africa for K-12 educators, undergraduate and graduate students, and the community. Through our listservs, lending library, lesson plan resources, and topical workshops, we provide information and resources to facilitate learning about the region and its peoples.
