Morocco: A Study in Cultural Diversity

This workshop featured four speakers: the first gave an introduction to Moroccan culture and religion, another gave an overview of Moroccan history, another discussed religious and ethnic minorities in Morocco, and the last gave an overview of the Arabic language, both written and spoken. There was a working lunch in which teachers worked in groups and discussed how to use technology to integrate teachers’ travel experiences into their classrooms. Teachers received 5 professional development credits, lunch, and a packet of resources for use in their classrooms and preparation for the trip.

  • 5-6 professional development hours
